Performance rights enquiries for plays represented by Marie Cecile Renauld.
General Information
Under Copyright law no performance of a protected play may be given in any form (whether or not any admission charge is made) without prior written consent from the copyright owner or their accredited agent. Such consent must be obtained before rehearsals start.
You should check the rights status of any production before booking a performance venue and must hold a valid licence before starting rehearsals or issuing publicity.
If you wish to produce a play by a playwright represented by MCR, you must provide details of your proposed production. Performance authorization can be granted to you under certain conditions.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE STEPS TO FOLLOW BELOW IN ORDER TO OBTAIN THIS AUTHORIZATION.
1- WHAT IS YOUR PROJECT
You must complete the form corresponding to the status of your company (Professional Company / Amateur Company) to send us your request for rights to a title of an author that we represent, remembering to attach :
- the CVs of the company and of the director and / or any other artistic element allowing us to assess your request.
2- HERE'S HOW WE PROCESS YOUR REQUEST ON RECEIPT OF THE FILE
We check the availability of the title and study your request. We will get back to you as soon as possible. We may need to do some research before we can give you the right information. No need to follow up, we will get back to you immediately.
We then make you a proposal setting out the conditions of the authorization we were able to obtain for your project.
WARNING !
These conditions, which we will have evaluated as best as possible and which will not be negotiable, may differ on certain points from the elements formulated in your initial request.
3 - DRAFTING OF AN AGREEMENT AUTHORIZING YOUR REPRESENTATIONS
If the proposed conditions suit you, we will send you an Agreement containing them, accompanied by the corresponding invoice. Only after receipt of payment, we inform the SACD of the authorization granted and the negotiated conditions so that it can draw up any necessary contracts, according to its uses.
WARNING !
Any reading of a work, even if admission is free, gives rise to a levy of copyright. Please contact us directly at the following address :
